Thakeham Parish Council met with Horsham District Council, to receive an update in the current application process. We have been informed that Bellway Homes representatives have met with Horsham District Council Planning team and discussed the amendments to the application that they have spoken to Thakeham Parish Council about.

 

It has been decided between the applicant and the Local Planning Authority, that a new set of plans will be submitted which will supersede the original application and reset the current application process as they differ significantly to the original plans. These plans will reflect variations that Bellway Homes have been discussing with Thakeham Parish Council. 

 

This new application will then come out to consultation as per the normal process so everyone will have the opportunity to comment and Thakeham Parish Council will meet once again to consider the new plans and lodge a new comment.

 

All residents who have written in with comments, will also need to consider changing or providing a new comment, as this will effectively be a new application.

 

Thakeham Parish Council  do not know when this will happen - but we will advertise it when we are made aware. It is our intention to carry on speaking with Bellway Homes - like the Local Planning Authority does - so we can gather as much information as possible as to what any potential benefits would look like and how they would work. This can then be presented to the community alongside the application before a decision is made.
