Glebe Field Update - March 2023

Hedging

On 4th March, ten of us assembled on the Glebe Field to plant a couple of hundred native hedging whips given to us by The Conservation Volunteers/I Dig Trees.

We planted a mix of blackthorn, hawthorn, dogwood, hazel and dogrose.

A great team effort, a range of ages from 10 to, well, whatever!  and we're hopeful that these "sticks" will provide a sturdy habitat for wildlife.
We're also developing our water habitat area. If anyone has a few spare small stones or pebbles we could certainly use them.
