Please note that Sussex Wildlife Trust are undertaking a species survey in the Glebe Field (The Street, Thakeham) this Saturday 6 June.
As well as having its own scientific value, the survey will inform our mowing plans for the field, to benefit its ecology and biodiversity.
This survey is happening later than we originally hoped, which is why the field has not yet been mown this year. Once the survey is done we will re-start mowing of agreed areas.
On Saturday, walkers (with and without dogs) are kindly asked to keep to the public footpath on the east side of the field so as not to disturb the survey.
Please keep dogs on a lead, and if your dog is caught short in the field, please clean up after them – as we hope you would do at all times in any case.
Thank you!
